Course in Leather Finishing – Dyeing, Printing, Stiffening and Finishing

Texfor, as part of its Virtual Classroom programming, is organizing a new edition of Textile Finishing CourseA comprehensive training to understand how the color, feel, behavior and final finish of textile materials are achieved.

Aimed at all those who wish to acquire or expand their knowledge about dyeing, printing, sizing and finishing, incorporating sustainability criteria across the board and continuously throughout the program.

Objectives

• Acquire a global vision of the textile ennobling processes.
• Discover the equipment and key stages preparation, dyeing, printing and finishing.
• Understanding the main process parameters, materials and types of dyes, and their impact on the final result.
• Identify the most frequent defects and how to prevent them.
• Incorporate, across the board, criteria of sustainabilityChemical products, processes, labeling and certifications.

Content

• Fibers and textile materials.
• Preparation operations: singeing, scouring/degreasing, chemical bleaching, optical bleaching, heat setting, causticizing, mercerizing, biopolishing, weft straightening.
• Exhaustion and impregnation dyeing machines.
• Yarn dyeing equipment.
• Fabric dyeing equipment.
• The color and its measurement.
• Exhaustion dyeing processes.
• Dyeing processes by impregnation: semi-continuous and continuous.
• Dyeing processes, dyes and materials: direct, reactive, indantrhen, dispersed, acidic, basic, pigments.
• Stamping equipment: rotary, flat, transfer, flock and digital.
• Printing processes, dyes and materials: pigments, dispersed, acidic and basic.
• Different types of finishes and coatings.
• Sizing application processes.
• Physical finishes: sanforized, frosted, brushed, tumbled, tumbler.
• Most frequent defects in textile finishing.
• Sustainability: chemicals, processes, labeling and certifications.
• Risks prevention.

Professor

The course will be taught by Antonio Solé – Textile industrial engineer, with extensive and recognized professional and teaching experience in the area of ​​textile finishing.

Degree

will be delivered a certificate of achievement of the training to all participants who have attended a minimum of 75% of the classes.

Dates, times and format (online)

Calendar: February 11, 16, 18, 23, March 2, 4, 9, 11, 16, 18, 23 and 25, 2026
Duration: 30 hours (divided into 12 sessions of 2:30 h.)
Hours: Monday and Wednesday from 16:00 p.m. to 18:30 p.m.
Where: Virtual Classroom through the Zoom platform

Course fee

Texfor and AEQCT members: €425

Students and unemployed: €150

Rest of attendees: €525

Bonus for part of the course amount (€390): Texfor offers all members registered for the course who request it and who meet the conditions to do so, the management of the procedures with the administration to receive a part of the training amount.
