COURSE: Theory and Technology of Clothing

Texfor organizes a new edition of the course Theory and technology of clothing, aimed at professionals in the fashion sector who wish to expand their technical knowledge of garment manufacturing processes.

Attendees will receive a complete vision of the elements involved in the productive process related to garment makingas well as the different technological levels applied, quality criteria and aspects related to productivity.

Course objective

Provide the student theoretical knowledge about the elements involved in fashion manufacturing processes. Highlighting the different technological levels of said processes, applications, quality indicatorsproductivity and costs.

Content

• Introduction to the production chain of the clothing sector.
• Stitch theory (according to ISO 4915): types, applications, quality, cost and productivity.
• Sewing types (according to ISO 4916): characteristics, uses and performance parameters.
• Technology and processes in the cutting room.
• Technology and processes in the manufacturing room.
• Technology and processes in the ironing room.

Professor

The course will be taught by Olga FuenmayorShe has organized and led technical development teams, production inspections, and workshop management, working for major companies such as Loewe, Burberry, Mango, Encuentro Moda, and Back to Eco. She currently teaches vocational training in Fashion Production and advises companies on improving their collections and production processes.

Degree

All persons who attend at least the 75% of the sessions will receive a certificate of achievement.

Teaching modality

The course will be taught in person, with the option to follow it on Virtual Classroom For those unable to attend in person. The option must be selected at the time of registration. This hybrid option allows sessions to be held in a physical classroom with in-person and virtual participants connected live.

• Place: Texfor Headquarters – C/ Sant Quirze, 30 (Sabadell) or Virtual Classroom via Zoom
