#Study on circularity

We're promoting circularity in textiles: discover the results of FilRec and TeixRec

The transformation of the textile sector involves understanding and activating the industrial potential we already have in Catalonia. Along these lines, we are organizing a online session where we will present the results of the projects TeixRec y FilRec, two studies that have analyzed the current capacity of Catalan companies to produce fabrics and threads from recycled material.

Wednesday, April 30, from 12:00 to 13:30 p.m. via the Zoom platform.

During the session, we will explore the results of these studies that shed light on the barriers and opportunities that faces the use of recycled raw materials in our weaving and spinning environment and we will share strategic data to promote circularity in the textile industry.

TeixRec has analyzed the industrial capacities of Catalan companies for the production of fabrics from recycled raw materials. The project identifies both the available resources and the technical and logistical challenges that must be overcome to promote true circularity in the sector.

FilRecFor its part, the study focused on evaluating the capacity of the filament industry in Catalonia to transform textile waste into new yarns. The study provides a precise overview of existing industrial processes and offers strategic keys for scaling up the use of recycled fibers in textile production.
