Europe is accelerating towards circularity and bio-based materials, and the textile sector has a lot to contribute. Texfor is organizing a virtual information session to share the results and lessons learned of the activities carried out in 2024 and 2025, and present the approach of Circular Economy and Bio-based Ecosystem by Texfor, which in 2026 reaches its 3th edition.

What we will talk about?
In one hour we will focus on a very specific question:
Where does Europe stand in textile circularity and bio-based products, and what can an industrial company do to move forward?
During the session:
- We will review the activities carried out in 2024 and 2025 and its main lessons learned.
- We will share European strategic contexts that are setting the agenda for the sector: SRIA, EU Textile Pathway and relevant European projects.
Ecosystem 2026: support, connections and action
The Ecosystem promotes a workspace for personalized support to different profiles within companies (product, management, innovation, projects, sustainability, etc.) and to facilitate high-level contacts at the European level.
The group is structured in four axis:
- Alliances: Promoting collaborations and connecting with strategic European contacts.
- Knowledge: access to cutting-edge innovation, bio-based products and leading projects.
- Financing: Information and support in European, national and regional calls for proposals.
- Positioning: presence in relevant European forums with a focus on sectoral leadership.
Ecosystem Activities Program
The Ecosystem will have a program of activities that includes:
- Monthly workshops (1 hour 30 minutes, at 16:00 PM) with participation from clients, technology centers, success stories and other ecosystems.
- On-site workshop at the factory (quarterly).
- Factory visits (bimonthly).
- Networking and one-to-one meetings between industrial companies and other actors in the ecosystem.
- Specific newsletters (fortnightly).
