#Texfor cluster activities

Open Day: Circular Economy and Bio-based Ecosystem by Texfor (3rd edition)

Europe is accelerating towards circularity and bio-based materials, and the textile sector has a lot to contribute. Texfor is organizing a virtual information session to share the results and lessons learned of the activities carried out in 2024 and 2025, and present the approach of Circular Economy and Bio-based Ecosystem by Texfor, which in 2026 reaches its 3th edition.

Exclusive activity for Texfor member companies.

  • Date: February 12
  • Opening hours: from 13 p.m. to 00 p.m.
  • Format: Interactive

In one hour we will focus on a very specific question:
Where does Europe stand in textile circularity and bio-based products, and what can an industrial company do to move forward?

  • We will review the activities carried out in 2024 and 2025 and its main lessons learned.
  • We will share European strategic contexts that are setting the agenda for the sector: SRIA, EU Textile Pathway and relevant European projects.

The Ecosystem promotes a workspace for personalized support to different profiles within companies (product, management, innovation, projects, sustainability, etc.) and to facilitate high-level contacts at the European level.

The group is structured in four axis:

  • Alliances: Promoting collaborations and connecting with strategic European contacts.
  • Knowledge: access to cutting-edge innovation, bio-based products and leading projects.
  • Financing: Information and support in European, national and regional calls for proposals.
  • Positioning: presence in relevant European forums with a focus on sectoral leadership.

The Ecosystem will have a program of activities that includes:

  • Monthly workshops (1 hour 30 minutes, at 16:00 PM) with participation from clients, technology centers, success stories and other ecosystems.
  • On-site workshop at the factory (quarterly).
  • Factory visits (bimonthly).
  • Networking and one-to-one meetings between industrial companies and other actors in the ecosystem.
  • Specific newsletters (fortnightly).
