Fund management to activate and implement innovative partnership projects between organizations in Latin America and the European Union to promote good practices in eco-design and sustainability
Mundo Verde is a project included in AL-INVEST Verde. A program funded by the European Commission to promote sustainable growth and job creation in Latin America.
Objective: to support the transition towards a low-carbon, resource-efficient and more circular economy, to facilitate the implementation of sustainable production models.
Objectives
- Strengthen SMEs dedicated to professional recycling in the Coffee Belt and Bucaramanga (Colombia), by generating capacity and adopting sustainable and digital practices in cooperation with the European Union, promoting a low-carbon economy, efficient in the use of resources and more circular.
- Promote the adoption of sustainable and digital growth practices through awareness-raising and experience-sharing activities for SMEs in the region.
- Develop capacities in environmental sustainability in SMEs and associations of professional recyclers, through the transfer of methodologies and tools in eco-design, circular economy with emphasis on waste valorisation, ecological footprint and digital transformation.
- Promote the development of green textile products and sustainable processes through guidance and project formulation, for the management of funding opportunities available in national or international calls.
Texfor – Confederation of the Textile Industry participates in this project as an international partner, working on the transfer of knowledge and good practices in sustainability.
The Mundo Verde project represents a good opportunity to establish synergies and business opportunities between our textile producing companies and their counterparts in the well-known coffee-growing region of Colombia.
