The project TCLF SkillBridge It is a European initiative funded within the framework of Single Market ProgrammeCoordinated by EURATEX with the support of CEC(European Footwear Confederation) and COTANCE (European Leather Confederation), the project is based on the EU TCLF Pact for Skills Launched in 2021 to strengthen skills in the textile, clothing, leather and footwear sectors in Europe.
The objective of the TFCL Skills Alliance in Catalonia is to promote a comprehensive regional strategy that strengthens the ecosystem of Textiles, Apparel, Leather and Footwear (TCLF) and contribute to development of training and innovative initiatives and strategies aligned with the social, economic and environmental challenges of our time.
The initiative seeks to creation of a stable collaborative space between companies, educational centers, clusters, associations, public administrations and other strategic actorsThe goal is to consolidate a regional network that fosters the exchange of practices, methodologies and knowledge to effectively address three key transitions: the digital, the ecological and the demographic.
Faced with an aging workforce, a disconnect between educational offerings and the real needs of the industrial sector, and an unattractive perception of the sector by new generations, the alliance is working to provide a structured and far-reaching response.
TCLF SkillBridge This represents a unique opportunity to strengthen the industrial fabric., create new European regional alliances, strengthen existing ones and collaboratively address regional challenges in terms of employment, skills and competitiveness.
The TCLF Skills Bridge project, co-financed by the European Union, aims to create regional alliances to strengthen skills in the textile, clothing, leather, and footwear sectors in Europe. In the case of the Catalan regional alliance, the initiative focuses on promoting training programs for SMEs in the sector, with the goal of reducing the skills gap in key areas such as sustainability, digitalization, talent management, and knowledge transfer.
