This Erasmus+ project aims to reduce the environmental impact of clothing production through specifically developed vocational education and training modules. VETRINE provides awareness of the negative environmental footprint of the fashion industry along with learning modules that will take into account the entire production cycle, including material choices, design and sewing, energy consumption, distribution and post-consumer habits, such as repair and recycling
The three-year VETRINE project (September 2023 to March 2026) brings together higher education institutions, vocational training centers and labor market organizations with the aim of establishing a flow of information and laying the foundations for application of ecological practices in the clothing industry. More specifically, the project has the following objectives
Texfor is working closely with the textile industry and students to identify needs for sustainable knowledge and skills so that these can be developed by specialized teaching centres.
Texfor will develop and implement business initiatives that allow for more practical learning and will work as a link between students and the labor market. All this without losing sight of sustainability and the future challenges of sustainable European textiles.
